Wow 2009, what a year for The Hip Pocket Band. CBMA favorite new artist of the year. The band has been met with rave reviews from our peers, DJ’s, fans old and new. If you missed us this year Get Ready for 2010 because here we come. There is alot planned for 2010 and we would love everyone to be part of the fun with Hip Pocket.
We have new T-shirts & hats for 2010.  This year is amost in the books and Hip Pocket has lived up to its expectations, and looking for a bigger & better 2011.

Saturday night, October 11th, I had the pleasure of going back to 3Thirty3 to DJ for another great event put on by Alan B & Mikey of Behind The Music. I knew that when the folks started congregating way before showtime, that it was going to be an awesome night. The Hip Pocket Band blew the roof off the joint! From Beach Classics like "Miss Grace" & "Hold Back The Night" to music from James Otto, Marvin Gaye, Kid Rock and Styx, just to name a few, these guys kept the dance floor full all night long. As a special treat, Big John Thompson was there celebrating his birthday with his wife Sonya. He joined the band on stage and paired up with his son, Little John, on Big's signature song, "Over The Rainbow". Like father like son! When Little John, Brian, Van, Rob(Big Daddy Love), Phil and Big Jerm hit the stage, you know you will be enterained to the max. A great crowd saw a great show.

Hey Guys, Just wanted to thank you again for a great show last night, you definitely rocked our wedding reception. Have you ever seen so many old people dancing, especially my 93 year old grandfather! It was a great time for us and you guys made that much better. We can't thank you enough and we'll be seeing you soon!

Sure fire nominees for this year's CBMA New Artist of the Year, Hip Pocket, followed for an extended set of just down right good party music. They have one of the best and diverse repertoires of music of any band on the circuit. They were joined on stage for a few numbers by Scott Fine and Daniel Morris of the Band of Oz. People definitely got their money's worth this night.

You were great at our wedding reception!! Thank goodness we heard of you, went and heard you, and booked you early. Everything went wonderfully. All of our guests were most impressed. We had people in attendance from all over the U.S. and all agreed that we had the best band they had ever seen at a wedding reception. Again, thank you for everything.
